Kevin McCloskey keeps curious minds growing, blending science, art, and comedy in Caterpillars: What Will I Be When I Get to Be Me? His books feature small misunderstood creatures like worms, ants, pigeons, snails, and now, caterpillars!

Join us for this special storytime and learn about one of the most magical transformations in the insect world, from a crawling digestive tube to a fluttering glasswing, luna moth, or monarch on its journey across thousands-of-miles. In the latest addition to McCloskey’s beloved Giggle and Learn series, young readers will explore how caterpillars morph into the many different moths and butterflies that help pollinate our world. Growing up is scary, but caterpillars can lead the way!

Kevin McCloskey

Kevin McCloskey is a retired professor from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. He has traveled the country from the Franklin Institute, Philadelphia to the California Academy of Sciences sharing fascinating facts about common creatures. His work has been described as “a winning combination of facts and gross-out fun” by The New York Times.
